True, you can probably round one up for less than 10 bucks.
However, while I don't draw the same conclusions as AnotsuSagami, I do agree that the stated reason for not reprinting it is a bit wierd. I really don't think the story says anything about Terry that we don't already know from his other work. We all have dark sides, but the only wrongness is ignoring it or trying to hide it. When we accept it, understand it, embrace it, when we grok it, it's isn't bad. I kinda felt when M&P came out that Terry had reached that place. His subsequent comments proved that not to be the case, but it's his work, and his to do with as he pleases.
I remember an interview with Howard Chaykin, in which the interviewer asked him what his thoughts were about Black Kiss(as sick, twisted, and f'ed up book as you are going to see, but done with that inimitable Chaykin style.) 5 years after the fact. He said something along the lines of 'Well, I loved doing that book, and it was great, but I don't think I'll ever need to go to those depths again' It remained in print until Vortex Comics folded. Hmm, you could probably pick up a copy of the trade for about the cost of a M&P.......
Anyway, while I understand the logic behind Terry's decision, but I can't reaaly see WHY he feels that way. But it's Terry's book, so he does as he wishes. Just so long as he doesn't demand we all send him our copies so's he can burn them or anything.....
*shrug*
AnotsuSagami, you really out to be harder on your sister who lost the durn thing in the first place than you are Terry.....
but your mileage may vary....

I'm dissapointed in you Terry. I had a copy of M&P and my sister lost it. I belive that was one of your greatest works and I wanted to buy it again. Much to my surprise, no one else has it. Then to further worsen the situation I see that you don't even offer it on your website, and because you're ashamed of it, you will never reprint it again. Well I must say that is very strange. The person who started the story about a woman's love for another woman, (a very touchy subject to say the least.) is ashamed of what he considers his "dark side". Of which isn't so dark in the first place. I believe that while confusing to some people, M&P was one of those stories with the perfect twist. No one was expecting that ending. It was beautiful. Your reason for not reprinting it was a strange one: you didn't want some young, impressionable person to get a hold of it and get some ideas. Might I ask what ideas would those be? M&P's story was unique. There was nothing in there that could be duplicated in real life. The variables are too vast. Seeing that it was a brilliant effort, I think the only thing that would happen is that you inspire someone to write a story as sophisticated. You my friend are suffering from self-censorship. That not only hurts you and your work, but us your faithful readers. For it is then that the quality of your work suffers, and we are left disappointed and disillusioned. I believe that this self-censorship that you have is hurting the quality of SIP. It's no longer a "slice of life", as life is filled with the darkness that we all wish would go away. It has become an after-school special in which we don't face reality. Case in point: in the first 3 issues, cursing and pervertedness were abound. We acknowleged that it wasn't for kids and we were happy. In fact, we begged for more. Life is full of such things. We must learn to face this darkness and see that it is a part of us and it dosen't have to be all that bad.
I hope this opens your eyes. If not, chalk it up to another great man destroyed by self-censorship.

Well, I won't comment on whether or not Terry censors himself. I will tell you that you can find copies of M&P on ebay and in comic stores. Keep searching, you'll find one.
